Back in the day before PBS, we had lines and flew the same schedule each week with the same pilots and flight attendants for the entire bid month. Now it’s pretty random where you fly and you’re meeting new crewmembers every flight. On layovers, the pilots and flight attendants now stay in different hotels. It was waaaayyyy more fun when we all stayed together and flew with the same crew all month. You really got to get to know everyone. Now it’s very impersonal. You see the crew during the preflight briefing then everyone goes their own way at the end of the trip.
