i promise you she will come around! i recently got a kitten named max, my cat millie absolutely hated him and wouldn’t come near me or anyone not even my dog cleo or other cat milo who millie absolutely loves. it’s just a lot of stress! i kept max in a separate room for millie to sniff out and for her to come back around me and my other fur baby’s. now she plays with him and is herself again!🤍 just give her time!

It can take 3 months. They should be gradually introduced through doors first, and progress it from there. It’s a big change to the existing cat and sensitivity is key.

she will be fine, just give it time. my older tuxedo boy HATED his mini me for probably 2 months. he was so fed up with that baby's antics. then after a couple of more months they were besties.

so i did the exact same thing for the same reason and my cat reacted the same way at first! she hated the kitten would constantly hiss at him didn’t want him roaming around her house etc. what we did that really worked was showing her extra love and basically showing her that we got the kitten for her not to replace her if that makes sense. we slowly started feeding them wet food together at the same spot in separate areas of the same room and eventually moving them closer and now they snuggle together all day everyday

My older cat took six months before she became comfortable with kittens. She now snuggles up with them. Be patient and they will get used to each other.

It takes time and a lot of play and treats together. My boy hated the kitten for moths and could only headlock her. but within 6 months everything was cool. He’s still not overly in love with her it’s been 3 yrs now but he tolerates her he’s just moody.

I promise it gets better. I introduced a kitten to my 3 year old cat. My 3 year old cat hid upstairs in my closet for days and i was so nervous she would never get used to her. but eventually they warmed up to eachother & now they are fine! its just gonna take some time 🤍

Number one rule when we introduced ours was avoid staring matches at first. If they start doing it, distract them, get in between them or separate again. Meet in short bursts. But fixed stares = tension. Ideal eventual outcome is that they don't even look up when the other comes in. 🐱❤️

mm i would take the kitten away for some days for her to eat and recover to then again bring it back slowly and steady, they gotta get used to it

sadly my calico girl never got over it. she was my soul cat and had lived with other cats previously but when i brought home a boy kitten i found on the street she absolutely hated him and hated me for bringing him into the house. he just wanted to play with her but she wanted nothing to do with him and would get aggressive if he was nearby. we tried for 6 months to get them comfortable but she wouldn’t accept him. She ended up staying with my parents and I took the kitten to university. Luckily she bonded to my mom now and loves her but i’ll always mourn the bond we had and feel guilty for destroying it. Now my male kitten is my soul cat and I can’t imagine life without him so it kinda worked out but some female cats will absolutely not except a new male kitten for whatever reason

I did this. My original cat left home, I mean just moved out, saw us In the street and attacked my children, we tried to take her back home regularly for 8 months. We eventually Rehomed the kitten- the original cat now doesn’t attack us but only comes home
