Had a job like this last year. Motor starter breaker trips when the motor is started. Ended up changing the motor, running a new feeder, changed the breaker, changed the starter, changed the cpt, and swapped to a whole new bucket. Every wire and component megged and tested fine. Still tripping. Finally ran the feeder to the old bucket in a different spot on the bus, worked just fine. Explain that shit.

Not that long ago I was trying to figure out why a monitor would not turn on it took about 45 minutes of testing before we realized that to turn it on you had to push a button that no one told me about the button was bad but I asked multiple times how to turn it on and was told you just turn on the switch.

someone called about a non functioning soft starter, i found it burnt with fuses and liquid level and a failed breaker and a 160KVA transformer that gives instability voltage at the end i discovered they started 4 37KW pumps together 🥲. I suggest closing the station and go home 😅
