I know you mean well but you are scaring the kitten by putting your hands in front of him and his face and trying to cover him up with that cloth. What I do is gently grasp them by the scruff behind their neck like their mama's do and the kitten will be more relaxed and not try to squirm or scratch you. Also let him or her est a little while you gently pet it and let it gain your trust a little and then like I said gently grasp the scruff of it neck and you should have a little carrier on hand to put in so it don't escape your hands. I have 16 rescue cats and I've been rescuing cats and kittens for over 30 plus years and trust me they don't like hands in front of their face and to be grabbed by their backs. I just thought of give you some advice. I love what you do and how you are rescuing all these animals. ❤️😊
