There are songs that tell a story… and then there are songs that quietly crawl beneath your skin and become one. “Awake Again” feels like the second kind. From the very first image—that enormous eye behind fractured glass—I had the feeling I wasn’t just watching someone wake up. I was watching someone become trapped inside their own mind. Every frame feels like another chapter of a nightmare that refuses to end when the sun comes up. “Here comes the pain…” The rain-soaked road, the moon hanging over silent water, the pages burning in the fire… it feels like memories being erased while somehow refusing to disappear. As if no matter how many chapters you burn, the story still remembers your name. Then the atmosphere shifts again. The glowing red eyes, the drained hope, the happiness fading away… it isn’t presented as a monster chasing you. It’s something far more unsettling. It’s the version of yourself that follows you when the world thinks you’ve already woken up. That invisible battle so many people fight behind ordinary smiles. scene of someone walking alone through an empty city hit me the hardest. Sometimes the loudest nightmares happen in complete silence. You’re awake… you’re walking… you’re breathing… yet inside you’re still trying to escape something no one else can see. What I admire most about your work is that you never rely on darkness just for aesthetics. Every visual, every transition, every lyric feels intentional. Together they create an emotional journey instead of simply showing pain. They invite the listener to step into someone else’s mind for a few minutes—and maybe recognize pieces of themselves they didn’t know were still there. I always say your eyes have a way of telling stories, and somehow you’ve managed to turn that into an entire song. This isn’t just about nightmares after sleep. To me it’s about the nightmares we carry into daylight, the ones that walk beside us while everyone assumes we’re okay. “Awake Again” doesn’t just ask us to listen. It asks us to feel. And that’s exactly what great art does—it leaves you sitting in silence after it’s over, thinking not only about the song… but about yourself.

The longer I remained with this .. the more I found myself wondering whether despair is ever quite as absolute as it believes itself to be .. there is something quietly contradictory about reaching the place where nothing seems worth carrying .. and .. yet still finding the strength to give that emptiness a voice .. we often speak as though hope simply disappears .. yet .. I can't help feeling that if it had truly vanished from within us .. we would no longer recognise its absence so profoundly .. perhaps grief is sometimes less a thief than a quiet persuader .. quietly convincing the heart that what has become unreachable has therefore ceased to exist .. yet .. absence has a curious way of convincing us it has become the whole truth .. when perhaps it is only the shape left behind by something that continues to exist beyond our reach .. I couldn't quite leave that quiet contradiction behind .. because .. I found myself wondering whether silence was never truly empty at all .. perhaps it was simply holding something grief had not yet learned how to recognise .. perhaps what sorrow believes to be an ending .. is quietly bearing witness to what still remains .. even if it no longer knows its own name 🖤🥀
