If I’m required to contribute hundreds of dollars every month for 40 years, only to receive that money back in small monthly payments with no interest, how is that a “benefit”? Calling Social Security a benefit is misleading, in my opinion. To me, it feels more like the government returning a portion of money I was required to contribute, rather than providing an actual benefit. It’s not their money to decide not to return. Had it been properly managed and handled in good faith, there wouldn’t be an issue.

🔥🔥🔥Social Security 🔥🔥🔥is a trust, it’s not a debt. Tax payer pay is into this trust, just like taxes are paid to IRS and disbursed for spending. Payments are not liability. Give another example.
