midgrade is necessary in high altitude I live in Utah and regular is 85 here, manufacturer specs ask for 87 minimum which is midgrade here

what's crazy to me is that the premium in the US is 92-93 octane, while in Poland the lowest octane fuel you can buy is 95 and the highest is 98

91-93 octane on premium?? In germany basic fuel called „super E5/E10 is rated 95 octane and premium called „super plus“ is rated 98 octane

meanwhile in Germany the lowest is Super 95 (E5 or E10) Oktan, then there's Super plus with 98 Oktan and then things like Shell VPower or Aral Ultimate with 100-102 Oktan

Best explanation I’ve ever seen. Note about mid grade for your next take. It’s a marketing tactic to upsell. Same thing ss having 3 sizes of drinks instead of 2.
