I used to do it years ago! Got paid a couple grand for different companies. Problem with it now is it’s a race to zero. The dream is sold through the courses and it floods these now UGC apps where people are taking jobs for free product or very little. But it’s legit, just not as easy and quick as people like to say it is….shocker haha

UGC creators don’t have to post on their pages or need followers. That’s the point. The brands take the content and post it on their own socials, ads, and sites. This is review style content brands leverage to build trust with their own audiences and get sales. Sometimes brands will ask ugc creators to post on their pages but for the most part, brands want the content for their own pages.

Online Income After 50 :
The industry is already becoming ruined because folks are willing to do jobs for 60 bucks instead of 260 or whatever. It’s basically a race to the bottom as they say. The other thing they don’t tell you is that whichever network you choose to locate jobs through, most brands were required certifications as well. So you are correct Brian it becomes like a full-time job if you were going to make anything substantial… basically just like anything online today. UGC requires a ton of work. Brands not only want authenticity, they also want videos shot in different ways, videos, edited in different ways, different angles from different areas, ones that convert well… you have to work at anything to create a full-time income and above. This “ take a simple selfie” and make $300 is no longer a thing.

Ohhh they r there. Thats because there is a difference between BRAND DEALS & UGC. U Will not see the "average joe with 2k " followers get a brand deal (meaning u see on their page) Your FYP is fulllllll of reg UGC gigs. Bark.box is a great one for UGC that guy & his dog. REG JOE

It is because people are tired of paying for high cost marketing agencies and people relate to us oldies now. I made one for a service and I got paid $700 but yes there is a lot of chasing for jobs.

That’s because they don’t use their social accounts to sell the brands. You send videos to the brands and they use them in their socials or marketing materials.

Tik tok shop and UGC go hand in hand, brands accept shop vids in your portfolio. Brands want originality over AI

But also, one more thought. For most SUCCESSFUL UGC creators, it’s a full time job. Like 50-60 hours a week of work then probably another 50-60 hours of thinking about UGC. Like I have NEVER put so much effort into making a video about tooth paste 😂

I do from time to time, see UGC videos but I realize that most creators are making the big bucks from they creating UGC course and selling it. You are right. many of them are just promoting their UGC courses.

Yes and no. It’s legit and big time influencers make like $100k per video. However, I personally dealt with moral issues. So many offers to create content for products I don’t actually use myself, so I stopped faster than I started 😅

I have been doing UGC the past 4-5 months and averaging a nice amount every month from brand deals NOT from selling a course on it. I did learn about it through a course but I have really enjoyed the UGC - as an additional stream of income.

First off…great HOOK. UGC is 💯 legit. I’m sure you’ve seen plenty of UGC videos in your feed 🤣. Different umbrellas of UGC and yes you can make great money doing UGC however just like digital marketing you need strategies and systems to scale it’s not just pull out your phone and record for 15-30sec. UGC: the brand is paying for your content raw or fully edited to run it on their socials or as ads. I actually do UGC and it keeps me so busy that it’s difficult to promote my affiliate courses like I want to due to working FT. I am extremely grateful for UGC it’s helped me pay off my credit card debt (took me a few months) and now I’m working towards other goals. Some UGC deals I’ve had this past month 4 videos for $1k 3 videos for $600 1 video $300 etc. I do UGC bc I love it but it is time consuming, you have to treat it as a business (invoices, CRM, legal contracts, deadlines) and people need to be aware of that!

You’re definitely blind to it… you said it all when you said “an average person with 2k followers”… that’s exactly the point. Brands don’t want influencers or people with a following. You literally don’t need to post ANYTHING whatsoever as a UGC creator. The brands use it in their own marketing. The creator is just that, the creator and nothing more. They don’t have a brand or a following. The goal is to have real relatable people in these ads. I see them every single day. Facebook is loaded with them.
