as someone from Hawai'i, the way you are describing the role of Saudi Arabia in Africa sounds just like the early colonial/missionary relationship between America and Hawai'i, in the century leading up to the 1893 overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy. Always the "invitations to come study" in America....at Missionary Institutions, of course. Common Denominator being: Foreign Entities spreading Oppressive Ideologies, through Soft and Hard Power, upon Indigenous People's. Mahalo piha for sharing your knowledge.
