@wanderingwestfield: Downtown Westfield is getting a major glow-up! 🚧 The Park Street Improvement Project is officially underway, and while construction can be a little inconvenient, the end result will definitely be worth it. Here’s what’s coming: • Park Street traffic will change to east to west (instead of west to east) to improve traffic flow and reduce left turns. • Flush curbs will make the street more pedestrian-friendly and easier to close for community events. • New brick pavers, landscaping, trees, and updated streetscape features. • Parklets for extra outdoor seating and gathering space. • Decorative overhead catenary lighting to give the street even more charm. A future phase will also add a new plaza connecting Park Street to the Midland Trace Trail, plus a parking garage at Park & Poplar. 🚗 During construction, Park Street remains open to foot traffic during the day and vehicular access for dinner time. Some of the Park Street businesses also have their own valet that you can utilize.
