I don’t want to have kids at all. I definitely experienced the social pressure of settling down with kids and I realized after my last relationship ended that I don’t really want them like that because I was just following society’s script. I value my peace and quiet tremendously. Also, I’m staying with a family member who’s getting older and I have to look after them in addition to my busy, demanding job. Nope, I’m all SET 😮💨

I had a child at 21. I love that child. But for the love of all that is good in this world, do not do this! If you think you want children, at least live your life first! Go travel! Go meet people! Go explore all the things and place!

I love my son and have zero regrets, but I am very honest with anyone on the fence. It’s HARD. I have a good kid, but it is still very, very hard. The “misery loves company” type mother is not doing parenthood any favors.

Kids are hard work, they are expensive, you love them to bits. However, her point is society's pressure to women is to build their lives around their children and essentially lose their own identity as a person. Basically, that's all women are seen as once you have children.

I did this and I am grateful that I am German, immigrated when my daughter was 3. We are not carrying this ridiculous burden that American mothers have. You are expected to take care of yourself first and the child second , because then you actually have something to give. It’s in the child’s best interest to see a model of mental and physical health. I want that for my daughter.

I'm one and done for the same reason. My son is 9 and he is an amazing kid. But o couldn't Imagine myself going through it all again. My husband feels the same. One and done is fine, they will have to learn how to make friends I guess.

I am one and done and it gets so much easier after age 4. At least with my daughter. She has made my life immensely more fun and enjoyable. Her dad is pretty much not present and that’s actually easier than when he was around also. But to each their own.
