@__sportsball: Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry explained 🏉 The @AllBlacks have 4 tests coming against @Springboks.rugby with the final one taking place in Baltimore on September 12th
To be honest. This game should not be in the US. The tour should be strictly within SA & NZ.

The greatest rivalry also has a deeper historical significance. The NZ rugby team toured SA with a diverse team, at the height of Apartheid. A chunk of South Africans still support NZ because of that.

did you see what America did to the FIFA world cup and all the breaks, even a 30 min half time break and half time shows... they going to ruin rugby if you let them have it

Australia would absolutely dominate Rugby Union, but they have a little thing called Rugby League, a similar but different game that split from Union in 1895 in the UK (then 1907 in Australia) to become professional.
Since then the League game has evolved to be much harder stronger and faster.
The players in League are all much more of a similar shape than in Union. But nonetheless, all of Australia's top Rugby style players are in League.

Rugby is basically a religion in NZ. That's how such a tiny country dominates. If you're athletic that's the direction you'll be pushed.

Great illustration of the matchup. What’s the size of the 2 nations compared to each other and the rest of the worlds top rugby nations and compared to world sports?

While I welcome rugby’s expansion into the US market, my fear is that high-stakes corporate greed will compromise the soul of the sport, mirroring the hyper-commercialization that took over FIFA.

As a Kiwi, this is the most All Black content I've consumed in years. Everyone wondering why it's going to the States, look at the decline....junior and secondary rugby down 20% over 20 years etc.
