@cholangiocarcinoma: Sydney Towle, who passed away yesterday, has likely touched your life. Every one of our community members is vital to raising awareness and moving us closer to finding a cure. We are honored to carry out our mission with each of you. Syd did this from her platform that reached people around the world. She gave those who would never even hear about cholangiocarcinoma an inside look at what it looks like to live through a diagnosis and to treat every day as something unique and special. We are forever grateful to her for elevating all of our voices and reminding so many that they are not alone. We realize this is a difficult loss and, at the same time, are honored to shine a light on her legacy. We invite you to share in the comments how Syd affected your life. We would like to remember her together. 💚
id check tik tok every day just to sed how she was. had a feeling of dread when she started having more pain and then a video where she looked like Kae Bradshaw did just before she passed! then no videos, it got to a point I didn't want to check. I've followed a few people who gave passed now but Syd has hit the hardest. I really thought she might get the miracle! 💔

Sydney taught me a lot. Mostly simply, I’m going to appreciate every April I experience.

I am still trying to catch my breath after hearing the news of Syd’s passing 🥺😞 I am a better person because I followed her journey. She was strong, she was soft, she was raw, and she was real..she will never be forgotten..🙏🏽♥️

This is not fair, but in the end, Syd won. Syd is energy, and it cannot be destroyed - a force so strong her cells refused to stop. She wasn’t defeated; cancer was. Checkmate. Syd is a legacy of joy. She will be found in every humorous moment. She is swimming, swimming, swimming, and will never be forgotten 🌊🐠🪽

My father was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma In February last year and passed away only 96 days later. It was wonderful to see Syd be able to experience so much life during her fight and it helps bring me comfort to know that my dad just made a new friend. Rest well, Syd.

I watched her for 2 years now on here. She was so sweet and positive despite what she was going through. She didn’t deserve this :( I miss her already

What is making me feel the worse , was that she really wanted to live. Many ppl, including me, we don’t appreciate life as much as we should. Many times I thought that my life has no meaning, that maybe I don’t even want to live (influenced by severe depression), but she was ALWAYS happy to be here. Her everyday battle was extremely challenging and hard , harder than mine and maybe yours, but she still wanted to be here. And that’s what hurts the most. RIP incredible stranger. Thank you for teaching me so many lessons and thank you for making me appreciate my life more.

Syd was sunshine and made me smile everyday, no matter what she went through, she went through it with a smile. I wear my “happy to be here” bracelet proudly

Syd wanted to live so badly & she fought so hardly. She never gave up. True meaning of resilience. My birthday is in April, I usually cry every year on my birthday. Syd is my reminder of how lucky I am to have more April’s. Although I never met her, she has touched my life in such a positive way. I love you Syd, you won. You’re pain free now. Rest peacefully knowing how loved you are & how much of an impact you left on so many people ☀️

I lost my dad and grandpa to Cholangiocarcinoma. Following Syd’s journey was healing for me. She had so much hope and passion for life. Even on the really hard days. I am so so so heartbroken over her passing and I pray for her family. 😭❤️I hope she is running among the wildflowers spreading joy wherever she is. She was joy and happiness and hope all at once. She fought so hard and I will always think of her when I need hope.

“As long as there are options, I have hope” and “happy to be here” are two of her quotes that I’m trying to face life and adversity with. We are all better for having witnessed the bright light that was Syd. She will be missed but never forgotten.

My husband was diagnosed at age 44. He was fortunate enough to qualify for whipple surgery because of location of tumor and staging. It’s been 20 years and he’s doing great. I am heartbroken for Sydney’s family. What a beautiful spirit 🕊️

Sydney's story has touched my heart and so many others. I'll be running the NYC Marathon this year while fundraising for cancer research, and it would be an honor to carry her name on my marathon shirt so she can run with me in spirit. I hope to honor her memory and the dream she was never given the chance to complete. Sending love and prayers to everyone who knew and loved her. Rest peacefully, Sydney 🤍

I live a little more every day because of Syd. Seeing the passion she had for life was a reminder that sometimes, our problems aren’t really all that big, and somewhere across the country, a girl is wishing she had one more Thursday like I get. Just keep swimming.
