I was interested in watching it and seeing the events unfold. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that... it wasn't interest. It was recognition. I went through denial, and now I've reached acceptance. Acceptance of a feeling I have been forcefully suppressing for years. I see... myself in it. A terrifying attachment, jealousy, stalking, toxic manipulation, and the desire to possess the object of your adoration. Because of how I suppress these vile feelings and desires, those around me think "it's just a crush." No. It is a vile, disgusting urge to hurt the person you adore. To be so close to them that even squeezing their hand until they scream feels like it's not enough. I hate this sense of mania, I hate it with all my heart because I understand that it is a morbid attachment, not love. But have I ever even felt love?
