have a trans teen right now is terrifying. My kid doesn't wanna bother anyone, they just want ro exist. I just love my child. I just want my child to survive and thrive. It's hard to love my child loud enough to even begin to drown out all the hate the world throws at them. It hurts my soul.

The biggest thing to keep in mind is that if we institute bans and mandatory inspections, ALL women + girls will be at a higher risk of abuse. Who will get to decide what genitals are normative for a girl? Almost certainly men. And which athletes will be targeted for these inspections more than others? Almost certainly black + brown girls/women, because of how white supremacy influences who is considered a “feminine” person. Genetic screenings + blood tests will never be sufficient because of genetic disorders. These bans are essentially a guarantee your child is inappropriately looked at in their private area, and what sane person wants that??? It’s sexual abuse, pure and simple.

I came out in high school as a trans man I play field hockey with girls cause we didn't have a boys team. And my team rode for me on that pitch! Sports save people's lives.
