I think that marvel (as silly as this sounds) doesn’t actually realise that they are actually representing and amputee. Obviously they know Bucky doesn’t have an arm, but they don’t aknowledge that as a real disability/part of his character and that’s why they don’t treat it with any respect. I can sort of see where they were coming from with the wakandans, because they wanted to punctuate the fact that people see him as tws even if they know he’s healed. But it’s overused in combat, what is it like 2-3 times that it’s happened during a fight? boring.

His arm get taken off in every project he’s in except winter soldier and the infinity war/endgame but he wasn’t a big character in those. It’s just odd, why does his disability have to be the butt of a joke at all times😭
