How long is he supposed to wait? Five years? Seven years? Ten years? Given the situation, some people likely feel he should never remarry. Let him grieve the tragic loss of his children, but also start over. Life is happening now.

My dad married 7 months after my mum died. That marriage lasted only 5 years because it was rebound and actually 2 years before that they were on the rocks. 7 months is disgustingly way too soon, as is getting in any relationship after only 4 months. Good luck to his new wife 😬

Look at Andrea Yates’s husband. Same scenario. 56% of marriages and in divorce out of that 56% 25% are due to illness or terminal illness. Out of the 25% of marriages that split due to illness or terminal illness only 3% or women who leave their sick husbands.
