normal isnt optimal. we get our results and have to look it up ourselves and end up self medicating 😪

I had been chronically fatigued for 15+ years, Vit D, iron all tested all normal, BMI down from 46 to 29 still fatigued, tested negative for sleep apnoea. Turned it was ADHD/Autism, now I’m medicated I wake up and feel rested.

wrong...no Gp is testing anything other than TSH, that always comes back normal. They could as a precaution and based on the symptoms...but they don't. TSH..the standard test and the "normal, no action" Sinncerely Exhausted...with hair loss and coldness x

My ferritin was 20, I felt like shit and my hair was falling out - I have a good diet. My GP said I need to eat more greens and they’d ’seen lower’.

Can you do a video on how to put this into words for when we see the doctor? Because when seeing multiple clinicians and they don’t all read each other’s notes, and we are in too much pain or symptomatic to tell them this. Thank you 🙏

Oh, how I wish all doctors were like you. Of they were I wouldn't have gone 8 years with ferritin levels of 3 and diagnosed with adenomyosis and endometriosis at the late age of 50. I still think my B12 is off, it's within range but on the low side but all ok according my GP and ally exhaustion is down to stress!

I always request my blood test results in paper/digitally. I then have a spreadsheet of all the tests and my results for different dates. I have the reference range for each test to compare to, catergorised the tests into related groups like full blood count tests, hormonal tests etc, and brief notes on what results high or low mean and which tests relate to each other. I then colour code my results as green = comfortably in range, yellow = borderline, red = out of range. I then make sure to compare most recent results to previous ones to see how my results are trending over time and if things like medication and supplements are having the required effects. You can also keep a dated list of symptoms so you can compare how your bloods may have changed from before vs after those symptoms to see if there’s any indicators as to causes.

Well my tsh been all over the place for 12 years like a yo-yo last test said tsh 0.23 (below range) T4 21.2 (close to top end) Labs won’t let you check T3! I feel my body is not converting Levothyroxine and endocrinologist won’t see me!!! Same as my Endometrium 8mm which is thick for someone who has the mirina should be less than 4-5mm! I had to tell the doctor that the scan result was wrong and to refer my to gynaecologist. Just wish someone would take my thyroid seriously as 12 years feeling rubbish is way too long
