I started deconstructing from the moment I got on the Internet in 2011 as a 17/18 yr old, but the way the evangelicals flocked to him definitely solidified my choices for me.

Honestly if anyone asks me " is there one thing you like that he's did?" this will be my answer.

I live in the north east, most Catholics are republican here. One of the many reasons I left the church and no longer believe.

100% I voted for him twice. Was raised southern Baptist. After his debates with Biden and how he acted the Jan 6th it all caused me to reassess the BS I had been feed all my life. Proudly independent voter and strongly opposed to religion.

I’m a Christian and switched to an Episcopal church because I was tired of the evangelical MAGA Christian Nationalism BS. I also love that the Episcopal Church allows women and LGBTQ priests.

My family are legacy Mormons. I left at 19 which was decades ago. It’s been interesting watching this transformation happen within our country. My GenZ son (15) is not interested in Christianity and only really knows a MAGA version of this. I don’t push my children one way or the other except I encourage them to really take into consideration all that goes into religious membership.

I have many issues with the Catholic Church, but the pope standing up to this administration has been legitimately inspiring.

I’ve been an atheist for 30 years. I just feel like I can’t wear a flag t-shirt on July Fourth anymore. 🤷‍♀️

If you feel like the whole 'point' of religion is to help structure you morally, then the alignment with Trump can't be ignored .

I quit going in October 2024 after the pastor posted on his FB his support for Trump. I didn’t even believe any of it I just took my daughter because she wanted to go. This just confirms why I don’t want to go back.

the church has clearly paid a price for support of Trump. I struggle to see what the benifit of that support has been, and if its leadership is feeling the price paid has been worth it.

Is this data my pastor brother n law would take seriously? I was thinking of sharing it with him but don’t know much about the source.
