The farming of plants kills trillions of animals every year. Vegan diets slaughter animals just like meat diets albeit less animals but still trillions of animals. So my question to you is, why is the vegan solution to animal cruelty to replace it with industrial farming which also slaughters animals?

It's getting exhausting seeing the MOST nuanced, well thought out takes about every cause and then when veganism is mentioned suddenly it's just the same excuses, manipulation tactics and cognitive dissonance they would fight against if speaking about another cause 🫠

I have been vegan for 30 plus years without ever deviating from veganism during that time but if my survival was dependent on eating animals on a deserted island I absolutely would because at the end of the day I'm selfish and care more about my own survival than anything else in such an imaginary scenario.

the point is at a baseline people eat animals. The place in which you live doesn’t need to change that. If you have the option not to go for it. Maybe I should’ve explained that better.
