1/4 cup olive oil 1 medium onion, chopped 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 red bell pepper, diced 1 green bell pepper, diced 1 cup Arborio rice (or Bomba rice for authentic paella) 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads (optional, but recommended) 3 cups chicken or seafood broth 1 cup white wine (optional) 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined 1 lb mussels, cleaned 1 cup calamari rings (optional) 1 cup frozen peas Salt and pepper to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Lemon wedges (for serving) Heat the Oil: In a large paella pan or a wide, shallow skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the Vegetables: Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent. Then add the diced red and green bell peppers and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Add the Rice and Spices: Stir in the Arborio rice, smoked paprika, and saffron threads, coating the rice in the oil and cooking for about 2 minutes. Add Liquids: Pour in the broth and white wine (if using), and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer without stirring for about 15-20 minutes, or until most of the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender. Add Seafood: Arrange the shrimp, mussels, and calamari (if using) on top of the rice. Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil, and let it cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the seafood is cooked and the mussels have opened. Finish with Peas: In the last few minutes of cooking, add the frozen peas to the pan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish and Serve: Once the seafood is cooked and the rice is tender, remove the pan from heat. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges. 🌿🥘 #EasyRecipe #WeekendVibes #yummy #food #recipes #Foodie #recipesoftiktok #recipesforyou #recipeoftheday #homemadefood #dinnerwithme #homemadecooking #cook #cooking #cookingvideo #cookingvideos #cookingathometiktoktv #cooktok #foodblogger #foodblog #FoodLover #foodlovers #lunchtime #lunchideas #paella #yummy #lunchformyhusband #lunchbreak #dinnerfortwo #dinnerdate #dinnerdatenight
