You can just Google whether or not a product contains proteins, and just because a product repairs bonds doesn't mean it contains proteins. Too much moisture can also cause problems such as gummy texture, increased breakage, increased tangling, and limp hair, too much of either thing is not good, aim for balance.

100% true! I can tell if it has protein products my hair will get straw like, flat and breaks immediately! Idc if there or there’s no research on that. I know what I know

I can attest … I had been using dry texture sprays INCLUDING all the Color wow volumizing products (on wet hair) and loved their texture spray for volume for styling . And after couple years of using my hair has gotten so DRY, breaking ! I NEVER had that issue prior to using such products & I root ONLY touch up my blonde (no bleach but Loreol box color every 4 weeks ) and my hair was always so healthy, manageable … now it’s like straw!!! I’ve now gone 3 weeks without using any such texture sprays and just trying to get it healthy …
