Old people in power fear change. They stick with whatever they were indoctrinated with. Such topics need to be talked about more. It's the only way to force change. Journalists in Ghana have been doing a poor job when it comes the discourse on systemic issues.

I'm from Trinidad and Tobago (Caribbean). this was also discontinued here and the robes have been modified to include the colours of our flag. I agree with you. Ghana should be more progressive about these things especially given their influence in pan Africanism and being the pioneer for reparations....but that's another topic😅
