Don’t do this, it’ll crash the network. Explanation: Basically, the data travels out of one port and right back into the other, over and over again. It triggers a "broadcast storm" that multiplies the traffic exponentially until it completely overloads the device's brain.

If the network is setup right this will end up doing nothing. In this scenario I’m sure it was since they are clearly monitoring for it

Is no one going to point out the absurdity?? Like wtf is a LAN cable don't you mean Ethernet cable?? All LAN stands for is Local Area Network.

I worked on enterprise networks 200+ Network devices deep and over 6k endpoints and have only seen 1 broadcast storm, layer3 switches are smart enough to isolate themselves in case of a broadcast storm unless that shit is set as a hub or is from 2002

Thats what you get for using unmanaged switches without stp.

On a unmanaged switch can cause a broadcast storm switch the IT if monitored correctly would definitely notice 😂

Yep, that happened in the office once. Caused a broadcast loop, took them a day to find it, toasted a switch, VP called my manager to have them fired on the spot.
