Smt off has benefits for a few select games but vast maority will benefit with it on. You have to test and see what works best for your cpu. Crab champions and Forza 5 are great examples of Smt benefiting more when it is off. You can use process lasso to do this instead of going back and forth into your bios

Ngl I used to think that SMT can kill performance on older games, because the games sees threads as cores. So if an older game uses max. 4 cores, with SMT it'll use 4 threads instead (since the game thinks those are actual cores) which results in the game only using 2 cores and not 4
