@theejohnnychang: Healing from church hurt takes time. It cuts deep because it came from a place that was supposed to be safe. You didn't expect perfection. You expected care. Love. Honesty. Instead you got disappointment. Neglect. Control. Misrepresentation. Silence. That pain is real. Pretending it doesn't matter only drives it deeper. Healing doesn't start with excusing what happened. It starts with ackno wledging it. God doesn't ask you to deny pain to be spiritual. He invites you to bring it to Him honestly. The confusing part is that you were wounded in the place meant to point you to grace. That can quietly distort how you see God Himself. But here's the truth. God is not identical to the people who represent Him poorly. Church hurt isn't proof that God failed you. It's proof that people are flawed. Churches are made of redeemed people, not perfect ones. That doesn't excuse harm. It explains why it happens. Bitterness will feel protective. Like strength. But it keeps the wound open. It replays the hurt without releasing it. Forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was acceptable. It means you refuse to let it keep defining you. You can forgive and still set boundaries. You can release bitterness and still walk away from unhealthy systems. Healing doesn't always mean reconciliation. Sometimes it just means clarity. Jesus Himself was wounded by religious leaders. Rejected. Misrepresented. Publicly accused. And He didn't harden His heart. He entrusted Himself to the Father. That's the path forward. Not suppressing pain. Not pretending trust. Just slowly letting God rebuild safety where it was broken. He doesn't pressure wounded hearts. He tends them. If you've been carrying church hurt and don't have anyone you trust enough to talk to about it, I trained an AI on everything I teach. Scripture, my notes, all of it. You can ask it anything you're not ready to ask out loud yet. L1NK 1N B10 to download the app and use GospelBot

If the body of believers did what Jesus commanded us to do then people would not need to be healed from church hurt?

4 years later and I’m still trying to heal, but it didn’t stop me from going to church as I realise that every person in the church is not the same, I’m now in the most amazing church and I’m so happy

Jesus never did a miracle the same way twice. why do you feel your pain will end the same as someone else. Pray constantly! Gods will be done. Not ours.

Because you feel you are with your brethren in the Lord but there's one thing you must always remember. Everyone born on earth has an oldman which you yourself isn't an exception to. But doesn't mean we should remain in them. That's why, there's a need for us to grow into perfection life our Father Jesus where we can't hurt each other again. So you must learn tolerance, patience and forgiveness when dealing with your brethren.

because we put our expectations on human, instead the head of the church, which is God. finding they do the opposite of the teaching may feel like betrayals, especially because we focusing our life with church teaching and preaching as the center
