My friend group and I were inspired by those videos and now always do a birthday trip to our favorite bookstores, give the birthday person an amount of money, and let them run amok. It's such a good time.

I did this for one of my children at an independent bookstore. No time limit, just as many books as she could carry. I think the total was 17 books and the cost was just over $300.
