There’s also a broken hiring psychology of wanting to hire those who least need the job or those that appear less needy. Which begets less retention. If folks hire those more in need of work, they are more likely to be loyal to the company that hired them.

Every generation thinks they understand what the previous one went through. But we didn’t live it so we really don’t know. Loyalty to companies when out the window long before Gen Z arrive. We are all replaceable. Everyone realizes that after a few years in the working world.

it's because there's no loyalty from the companies. we have seen hundreds of times the people that do stay with the company for thirty years get dropped instantly because they get sick, or get injured in the workplace and they fight tooth and nail to give them as little as possible. why would we be loyal to a company that would sell us out for 13 cents?
