You're right, but I'd like to add, although I do believe women face slightly more pressure to be appealing to men, both genders tend to dress and behave in a way that might attract potential partners, I don't necessarily think there's something inherently wrong with that unless it restricts your self expression like you mentioned, but there's nothing wrong with admitting that sometimes we do dress and present ourselves for others, that's the nature of attraction.

When I first started doing makeup, my intentions were to make myself look better. I was 10 and thought I looked repulsive. However when I developed a sense of self, it changed completely. I wear crazier makeup that personal to me and I noticed a lot of men do not like it!! But it makes me feel like a haunted porcelain doll. I love it and I used to be the girl to shit on beauty rituals

well ..good thing they aren't, cuz that was never ingrained into me twas when I started experimenting with it, it was of my own accord for expression purposes
