REFORM MONEY - 80%+ FROM TORY DONORS So we wake up to the news that Reform has accepted another £3 million from Christopher Harborne, a man based in Thailand, where he has lived for around 20 years. This is on top of the £9 million he gave to Reform UK last year, a record breaking personal donation in modern UK politics. It is reported by @financialtimeslive that Harborne is the largest shareholder in defence contractor QinetiQ which has multiple contracts with UK govt. He also bankrolled the Brexit Party to the tune of around £9 million AND, yes, he gave £1 million to Boris Johnson’s private office in 2022. So ask yourselves, why? Why does someone who lives in Thailand write cheques like this? Reform claims to be “anti establishment”. What a pile of tosh. Reform IS the establishment, packed with private school educated dismal and failed Tories. When a party is fuelled by mega donors and backed by people who have funded the Conservatives for years, that is not a grassroots revolt. That is establishment politics with a grubby new label. And here’s my view, loud and clear. No political party should be able to accept donations from any person or corporation that does not live in the UK and does not pay UK tax. There is no excuse.
