he was the perfect first boyfriend. he made it feel all so simple and safe, he made rory feel like he was forever, and that's how a first relationship should go. he introduced her to teenage romance and fit exactly what rory read about. them breaking up was so important because it taught rory to confront her feelings. jess was perfect as a second boyfriend because he was the opposite of dean. they wre much more messier and complicated and they both taught rory the simpleness and the complications of being in a relationship. logan however brought both sides together, he gave rory the excitement she had with dean and the complexity she had with jess while also knowing how to care for her. he challenged and humbled her and pushed her out of her comfort zone. logan wasn't perfect, but he wasn't like jess who needed distance 24/7, and wasn't like dean either who made everything feel easy
