Omo that was how I mistakenly sent ₦220k to a wrong account around 11pm 😭 It was an OPay account, so I quickly called the number — it was switched off. I called my mum crying, she was helping me call too. I couldn’t sleep. Anytime I dozed off small, I’d wake up and just start praying. I kept calling through the night, number still switched off. I called again by 5am and it finally started ringing! But nobody picked. I kept calling till 6am and the person finally called back — an Hausa man. He said his phone was off because he was sleeping, then he woke up to pray. Omo I was just begging him, but he wasn’t understanding me well, so I had to call my gateman (who’s also Hausa) to help beg him on my behalf. He sent my money back complete — didn’t take a single kobo. I even offered him ₦20k as thank you and he refused, said Allah would be angry with him if he took it. Instead he told me to patronize his tomato and pepper business. Abdul, Allah will bless you 🙏🏽
