shes so right!!! another thing I love seeing is someone buys the base costume, and then updates it, paints in details, etc!!! it dosent have to entirely be hand made at home if you aren't there yet!

Craftsmanship contestant, judge and qualification winner here! I will shout it from the rooftops if I have to: DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU! Craft the entire thing because you can? YES!!! Buy it? GREAT! Use regular clothes you have?: COOL!! The only important thing is what makes it fun for YOU to cosplay

I like a mix. I will buy stuff custom made and make some of the stuff. My hair stylist cuts abd styles my wigs. Im making my first prop for my next cosplay! I think you do whatever works for you. I love volunteering and going to cons just to see the awesome cosplays!

yeah but also you can wear a costume too! exactly do what you want it's a great community aswell and tips are on tiktok and YouTube! if you need to learn new skills!

I have nothing against but if they come back and bite the cosplayers that had their work hard to make the costume and if they can win the competition like that even though the rule clearly said 80% Must DIY cuz they have more Follower on IG then I have some thing to say about
