I use cyclobenzaprine for muscle spasms in my lower back. I usually only take it at night but it doesn’t make me overly sleepy.

I was prescribed cyclobenzaprine off label by my rheumatologist for lupus muscle pain. I was on it for 3 1/2 years and it totally screwed up my entire body locked all of my muscles up super tight where I could barely move them caused severe depression and Anhedonia I am still dealing with the neurological side effects stomach issues and Anhedonia 8mo later after I stopped it cold turkey and was taken by ambulance to the er not knowing it’s just basically a old Tricyclic Antidepressant and shouldn’t be prescribed longer than 3 weeks.

Cyclobezaprine saved my ass. Literally. I take it nightly and it allows me to take welbutrin which is the real life saver for me.

Canadian here. It boggles my mind why you don’t have muscle relaxant over-the-counter. We can just go ahead and buy a Robax anytime we want.

Broooo I just found out I’m a poor metabolizer for 3 liver enzymes. It explains why I’ve unknowingly been overdosing on prescription drugs my entire life. 😭 I’ve always had extreme reactions but had no idea what was happening until now….CYP2D6, UGT1A1, and CYP3A5 Have you ever talked about this??
