I LOVE hearing other people’s divorced dad stories!! Here’s mine lol 🥹 To this day I still have random little thoughts about my dad’s first divorced-dad bachelor pad… being sent to school with cold plantains, me & my sister falling asleep on his futon watching bike races/golf, or sitting in the garage watching him work on his car while he played our favorite songs on a LimeWire-burned CD he made for us 😂 His house was filled with random things he brought back from Navy deployments, each with some crazy story about how he got it. Growing up, I resented not getting to see him as much and felt the absence of a dad in my everyday life. But getting older has given me so much hindsight. I realize now how much he sacrificed just to make me and my sister happy, even in the smallest moments.
