I’m in an LPN program right now and it’s 18 months and when I graduate I can bridge to RN and it’s only one year for my associates.

LPN and RN both take the NCLEX however LPNS take the NCLEX PN which is different from the NCLEX RN exam. However when it comes to ASN, ADN, and BSN nurses those nurses have taken the NCLEX RN exam so that are both considered licensed REGISTERED NURSES aka an RN unlike LPNS they’re considers a PRACTICAL NURSE because they took the NCLEX PN exam.

I had been laid off from my job and went to the unemployment office. Texas workforce paid for me to go to LVN school plus gave me money every 2 wks while in school. Then I used tuition reimbursement from my employer to get my RN!

How i view it is LPN’s deal with more stable patients and RN’s deal with more critical patients because they go to school longer and have a wider scope. The difference really isnt as deep as yall make it and everybody act like if you get your LPN its just the end. 😂
