Im a little confused, If those companies are getting over 1 Billion back all together, did they pay some of the tariff money or did we pay all of the tariff money? Because im just taking the total population roughly 374 M.. if they're receiving over a hundred billion dollars in tariff money. I dont see why every single American regardless of age or how much each one of us spent and where. We could take the tariff money give each of us a million a piece that still leaves them over 99 billion

Kind of, but it’s actually worse. The tariff is on the country selling the product to the US, and they pay it to the government. So to make up for the tariffs, they had to pay they raise the price. American businesses bought at the higher price and past the expense to the consumer. Instead of a tariff money going back to American businesses, it actually goes back to the country that paid them. So not only did they not lose money from the tariffs because they raised prices, they then get the money back. So effectively, American and foreign businesses are not affected really at all, just the consumers

not only that but the prices won't be coming down anytime soon we'll keep paying the same amount tariff or not just the same way they didn't come back down after covid once they realize what you're willing to pay for an item they keep that item at that price
