You are way ahead of the curve, not controversial. There should be a balance between the tool usage and AI usage for which is the most effective and efficient or like you said the cost appropriate for your budget for what your trying to achieve. You also mentioned the learning curve to grow. Yes very true as well. You can build the software that combines tools or solves your problems/issues and that journey will really help you understand AI, software engineering, coding, security, the strengths of different major models, agents, etc etc.

Same here. Recently, I spent a lot of time testing AI editing tools like ChatCut, Palmier, and VideoUse because I wanted to review them as an AI creator. But after trying them out, I realized the results weren’t nearly as good as I expected. They ended up wasting a lot of my time and tokens. Honestly, I still prefer using CapCut directly for now. I don’t think AI video editing has reached that truly “fully intelligent” moment yet.
