Because Bioware chose to try and make a clone that was better than Destiny, and all of their advertising for that time was to overtake Destiny rather than it stand on its own. Bioware forced those comparisons, and they lost. Honestly, if Bioware had any brains, they'd re-release the game with a clearer picture of the future to take advantage of the massive void Bungie and Sony are leaving behind.
