Black women have been policed over our hair for centuries. There was a time when we were literally expected, and in some places legally required, to cover our hair. We took those coverings and turned them into something beautiful, making them a form of style, identity, and pride. Now people are mad because some of us wear bonnets? It's exhausting how our hair, or what we choose to put on it, is always up for public debate. Maybe it's time to let Black women wear whatever the hell they want.

i have never understood why people care so much about what other people are doing. Bonnets are not effecting anyone negatively, as you show in your video they’re actually very beneficial! someone wearing a bonnet will never effect my life, so why would i want them to do anything other than what they want?
