Cops get Qualified Immunity because we don't inform them of the law and demand they immediately look it up, (so they won't unassumingly violate a civil right) don't choo know? Consequently, they are allowed Q.I. when it goes to court (because they didn't know), they also had their fingers crossed behind their backs.
