@bakedoutofspite: ingredients: * 1 packet (7g) active dry yeast or 2 1/4 tbsp * 1½ cups warm water * 1 tbsp honey * 4 cups all-purpose flour * 1 tbsp salt * diced jalapeños * shredded cheddar * 1 egg for the egg wash how i made them: • mixed the warm water, honey, and yeast and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. • added the flour and salt, then kneaded until smooth. • mixed in the jalapeños and cheddar. • covered the dough and let it rise for 1 hour. • punch out air, divide and shape into bagels. • boil them in water for 1 minute per side. • place onto parchment and brushed with egg wash and topped with a little more cheddar and jalapeño. • baked at 400° for 25 minutes. #homemadebagels #jalapenocheddar #easybreadrecipe #fromscratch
