Almost everyone warned me that doing a PhD would be exhausting and miserable. I thought it would be worse than studying 🤡 But it’s actually way better! As a student, I was constantly jumping from one module to the next, cramming for exams instead of really understanding things (and I looovveee getting lost in details so that was tough for me 😂). No more learning inorganic, organic, physical, and theoretical chemistry ALL AT ONCE without real depth 🫩 Now I can focus on one field, go deep, travel and get paid for it 😜 But the most important factor is the working environment. I genuinely couldn’t imagine a better research group or PI ❤️ That’s one of the main reasons I chose to do my PhD here. So my advice: really try to get to know your PI and future colleagues before you start your PhD!!! It makes a HUGE difference!!! #labwork #phdlife #womeninstem #chemistry #unilife
