Oh my god, this, it’s so fucking annoying. I basically have to walk on eggshells because I’m only 18 and can’t afford ANY place in this economy, even with a job. The entire house feels the energy & presence, and everyone else pays for it.

100% when living with anyone. I made the mistake of letting my older sister and her kids move into my house and they have made me so miserable because I have to walk on eggshells and can't listen to music or movies at my preferred volume without disturbing them. Having a "guest" over is almost impossible too. You can't be yourself and have fun.

my parents did this to me, now im such a relaxed mom. My daughter can talk loud, listen to her music, have her loud sleepovers etc.. I have tons of patience & control over my emotions.. she’s 13 & I think we’ve only “argued” once & it was because she was starting her period , super emotional, dramatic but once I found out I understood her more & gave her the space she asked for as well as got her everything she needed to have a calming week
