The cracking will get better! I'm 11yrs recovered from tearing as gymnast. Try to be cautious especially since retears are common. 4yrs post I did a partial tear. A friend of mine tore twice as well.

I was a dancer my whole life through high school and I tore my ACL and meniscus during my senior year of high school. I got surgery during my freshman year of college so I am a bit over 3 1/2 years post op. These are all the same for me too. It’s so weird having knees that aren’t the same anymore lol

I've had mine done twice now. my surgeon told me before hand they aim for hypermobility patients to reduce the level they can hyper extended. which personallying, not having them even sucks. my first one did end up going back to normal. my 2nd one hasn't yet as for the cracking. typically when you tear your acl you do more damage then just the acl. but they typically don't mention it cause it's not 'important" the only way that cracking will go away is if you have a full knee replacement

It’s always interesting to hear what other people have gone through. I personally have gone through four ACL surgeries and I can’t do anything without pain in my knee. So it is nice to see what the normal outcome was supposed to be since I’m sort of out liar. I also really feel you with the different size kneecaps 😂😂 Also, your surgeon is 100% correct on trying his best to make your knee not as Bendy speaking as a Bendy person that is what keeps causing reoccurring, ACL tears. it doesn’t matter what they do for me. My knee is always Bendy.
