@dr.kavita.t: You know, we are so aware of the heartache of those who don’t manage to breastfeed (due to lack of support structures) that we do NOT hype those who managed it enough. I am definitely guilty of that. And I KNOW so many of you are kicked, ridiculed, actively dissuaded from your journeys! It takes strength to push that all aside but also to deal with the heartache of people putting their emotions and agendas and trauma above your own. All my mamas - ISEE YOU!!! I’m so so proud of you! #Breastfeeding #pumpingmom #postpartum #newborn #baby
I’m 4.5 months pp and I exclusively pump because my son was premature and I have a crazy aggressive letdown and a big oversupply. I keep getting told to switch to formula by my family. They’re annoyed at me for pumping. Sometimes my dad even seems really put off by it. I don’t know why they feel this way. I’m down to 4PPD, and I make 50-60oz of milk daily. I’ve donated over 2000oz of milk. Still, everyone except my husband and mother in law act like I’m crazy for not just throwing the towel in. I *wish* I could nurse directly. Pumping wasn’t what I wanted, but it’s what I got.

I set a low goal of 3 months because I didn’t want to feel like a failure if I couldn’t continue. Now 20 months into my breastfeeding journey and so proud

I am still feeding my nearly 28 month old. I am really proud of the achievement and keep telling myself it aligns with the WHO recommendations, but the judgement from health professionals I’ve encountered is really disappointing.

I’ve breastfed for a total of 100 months over 6 kids so far (still going with baby no. 6). Climbed so many mountains and fought so many battles. I’m so proud of it all.

3 years in, felt like I’d never reach 3 weeks, 3 months let alone 3 years! THANK YOU for this. It becomes a solitary journey after 1 when it feels like you’re the only one who thinks this is ok ❤️

Can you please post some content on breastfeeding twins? I’m 10 weeks into EBF my fraternal twins and it’s been so so so hard and I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing!

Thank you!! Had a very difficult journey with a small for gestational age bub and was told to triple feed and supplement with formula from day one of life. I preserved despite the challenges and now we’re at 14 months of breastfeeding so far 🙏

would love your opinion on breastfeeding a toddler who doesnt eat much. I bf my 24mo when she wakes in the morning, before bed and 2-3 times overnight. she mostly snacks throughout the day (we offer her meals but she generally has a couple of bites and refuses). she eats very little dinner or after dinner snacks. I sometimes think it's because she knows she's getting milk soon. Im wondering if I wean will she eat more at night and sleep better with a full tummy. im terrified I'll wean and she won't sleep better and I'll have lost my magic sleep tool
would love your input or advice from anyone in the comments who has weaned and if it helped or not

23 months in! Many challenges and hurdles along the way. Equally love it while also thinking about when it will end. So I’m trying to just enjoy it and not rush things

6 months in exclusively pumping, my goal was to get through winter.. 3 weeks to go. I didn’t think I’d last this long with a 2 year old also. Proud that I can majority feed my baby my milk
