: But how do you know how short you can go for the shortest layer because sometimes they have really fine hair and I don’t want to lose density because I have to cut more to connect and most people want short layers but I always try my best to explain that sometimes we can’t go too short on the layers but I’ve also seen other stylists able to do so and if I don’t feel comfortable I let them know they can go with someone else or I’ve had another stylist help me. Especially on the front sides.
