I have her EXACT hair type and also have the volume I used curl cream mouse a tiny bit of gel for no fizz and I diffuse upside down and use a hair clip for extra volume and pineapple method gives a BUNCH of volume (all light weight)

It’s the hair cut the closest to cutting you hair your self you can do unicorn I do it and I get similar results as them I have long curly hair and once I did it I have more layers and volume with length and after you style and diffuse make sure your hair has a very slight cast of gel or mousse then properly put it in your bonnet then sleep on it. The bonnet overnight will make your curls bunch up and make the curls curl to the root and maintain that definition and create a sort of volume which to next day you can shake out. Also they leave their hair in bonnets most of the time. I know Demitra leaves hers for like almost two days before shaking it out. And for your crown volume make sure you section and brush it forward instead of back like in tutorials, it will still have no part but it will make your curls have more volume and definition and diffuse your crown part of your head for a minute straight to let the cast form and let the hair stay in that cast where it helps curl to the root and give volume.
