Here we are sitting with Qualifications and a whole lot love and respect for the industry. Why didn't you call South African Chefs Association? I met an amazing woman who lectures for on of these colleges and she was honest enough to tell me that she takes home R30000 per month with 8 to 10 practical classes per month and she has zero qualifications within culinary arts. She even encouraged me to apply for employment at the same institution. We met through a corporate project and she was impressed with my work. I would meet so many culinary arts students from TVET colleges who are clueless about the basics of the kitchen and it's beyond scary.
