Lady we have had 700,000 permanent visas issued under the Albanese government. This is in line with our historical averages. We had a spike of neg migration after COVID because you know… we had a few years of no immigration hence the spike. How do people not understand this?

To everyone using the ‘white racist’ argument; have you ever considered the fact that it’s not sustainable for the immigrants either? How is that fair? I personally know a man that came to study, but can’t because he has 3 jobs to survive. So is it fair that he is set up for failure, treated like a cash cow and then sent back to Nepal when we’re done with him? Or my friends that just lost a 7/11 business, and couldn’t find work because they still don’t have the right paperwork so now they travel 45mins to drop off kids to school because they could only afford to rent a 2bed unit 45 mins away. They’ve been here for 13 years, their kids were born here, but they’re on a huge waitlist to get citizenship. Again, is that fair? We need immigration to be sustainable so people are treated fairly and not cash cows.

Net overseas migration is always trending upwards, the last 6 years was 1.55 million not counting this year’s decreasing number. The previous 6 years was 1.3 million. Are you really upset by the expected rise? Probably would have happened regardless who was in.
